While one of the more beautiful parks in New Orleans, Duncan Plaza has had a multitude of plans for the space that simply never materialized. The result is a park that is truly New Orleans' best kept secret. If New Orleans has a forgotten park, it is Duncan Plaza. Right outside of City Hall, this beautifully-landscaped space is surrounded by civic buildings and a public library. It is easily missed due to some raised berms surrounding the park, and is mostly unknown and unused. Though it has been the site of many protest marches on City Hall through the years, the park is used primarily by the city's homeless and panhandlers.
