At the Gallier House, you'll find out what upper class townhome life was like in the 19th Century French Quarter. From trompe l'oeil wall treatments to authentic toys and Victorian furniture, this house will transport you to a different time and way of life. Built in 1860 by famous New Orleans architect James Gallier Jr as his own home, this house is a study in architecture and innovative design for its time. On the daily tours, learn about the lives of the slaves and servants who made this opulent lifestyle possible.
