Madame John's Legacy
632 Dumaine St French Quarter
The oldest branch of the Louisiana State Museum, Madame John's Legacy is a lasting legacy of 18th century French architecture and Louisiana Creole design. The site consists of the main house, kitchen & cook's quarters, and a two-story dependency. Though this style of house was very typical for the French Quarter in the 18th century, this is one of the last remaining pieces of that era in our history. This stop is a must-see for any lover of architecture or history.
