The Prestybere was built in 1791 to match the Cabildo. These two historical structures bookend the famous St Louis Cathedral, and are now opened to the public as part of the Louisiana State Museum campuses since 1911. Learn the history of Mardi Gras, the impact of hurricanes such as Katrina, and much more at this branch of the Lousiana State Museum.
